When Armin Schwarz officially retired from his role as factory driver in the WRC in 2005 in Australia after a glittering career boasting multiple international and European rally titles, he showed no signs of nostalgia when he spoke to journalists: “I am grateful and thrilled to have been in this role for almost two decades. But now it’s time for something new, and I can’t wait!” Armin is currently busy working on his Baja project in the USA SCORE off-road racing series and on his legendary Rally & Driving Experience in Finland. Participants have the privilege of being coached by Armin and his team, benefiting from his skills and experience from over 30 years in rallying. When asked where he gets all his energy from for his professional tour de force, Armin replies with: “Friends, family and sport”. To keep in shape, he goes hiking and mountain biking in his adopted home of Austria, as well as climbing and walking. But the true focal point of Armin’s life is his family.
She has now been a fixture as a presenter on the national and international stage for some 15 years.
